HEALTH CARE AIDE - FT/PT - EXTENDICARE RED RIVER PLACE

(MULTIPLE VACANCIES FOR DAYS/EVENINGS/NIGHTS)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to Unit Nurse
Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Extendicare policies and procedures and job routines as outlined on resident Care Plan
Monitor, report changes in the resident's physical or mental condition to the Unit Nurse
Performs charting duties accurately and clearly on the Health Record
Participates in evaluating care and/or services provided by the Nursing department to residents under the Quality Assurance Program
Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner and maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or Certificate in Health Care Aide Certificate
Previous Long Term Care and/or Mental Health experience an asset
Experience in working with Residents who exhibit responsive behaviours
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Mentally and physically able to perform duties safely without injury to self, coworker or residents
Maintains confidentiality in all matters relating to the facility, residents and families
Current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check & Adult Abuse
