What does a Security Guard in Edmonton do?

Interior and exterior patrols
Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, security escorts, responding to calls for service and report writing/note taking
Performing property inspections and enforce property laws, client rules, and other regulations
Provide keys and temporary pass to visitors/employees
Liaising with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
Providing customer service information and assist in handling the questions of visitors
Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Edmonton

?

Valid Alberta Security Guard license
Strong computer skills
Customer service oriented
Must be available any day of the week for 12hour rotational shifts either days or nights
Leadership and problemsolving skills
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Be comfortable removing unauthorized individuals from the property
Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods of time
Good verbal and written communication skills
High level of English is required
