How will you make an impact?
Perform the varied activities associated with product sourcing, pricing, and creation for items. Manage past due orders and order confirmation information received from suppliers. Assist with creating and maintaining item content including long descriptions, images, and product titles. Support supplier relationships and proactive item creations for existing and smaller volume suppliers.


What will you do?

  • Perform the varied activities associated with product sourcing and item creation based on sourcing requests received through our database
  • Create new vendor and product records
  • Provide accurate pricing and product availability
  • Quote
  • Enter all order confirmations received from suppliers into IPOX/PURX mainframe
  • Run reports to identify current past due backorders/open orders (DSS report), oversee all 3P backorders and drive response improvement from suppliers.
  • Maintain a master tracking report of suppliers with backorder count and backorder dollars
  • Obtain invoice copies and/or new shipment dates from suppliers and take appropriate action
  • Raise issues to Manager for further resolution when necessary
  • Action returned pricing files for both main price roll and offcycle changes and provide the load files needed to enter in the mainframe.
  • Help with North American catalogue alignment, when needed create new Fcat#s to match US counterpart and discontinued the duplicate record in the Canadian system.
  • Assist Buyer with VP Coded item pricing updates
  • Assist Finance with Freight charge discrepancies on invoices
  • Assist the Manager of 3P with proactive item creation for existing and smaller volume suppliers. Work with suppliers to obtain necessary product information including pricing, compliance information, content & images.
  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and analyzing supplier information to aid in supplier discussions, and business reviews
  • Work to improve discounted pricing with the suppliers to achieve margin and sales improvement targets
  • Assist with managing product details for Third Party items (Long Descriptions, Images, and Product Titles)
  • Long Description maintenance includes adding "long" 1000 character descriptions to on Encompass items that only have 30 character descriptions.
  • Image maintenance includes developing request campaigns
  • Drive to an annual goal of improved content experience
  • Assist with running Cognos reports and analyze the results to identify items to obtain full content on 3rd Party products
  • Make independent decisions when trying to acquire full content from suppliers.
  • Attend trade shows and visit supplier locations as needed
  • Complete the daily buying during vacations and other absences

How will you get here?

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree preferred
years experience in customer service/supply chain

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet designated deadlines
  • Attentiveness to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with management regarding project progress and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies and selftrain when appropriate
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts between parties with differing needs
  • Strong technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power BI and Cognos
