- Reporting and accountable to the Regional Department Head (RDH); responsible for coordinating functions and activities of the regional department
- Participates in the Multidisciplinary Healthcare Coordinating Committee (MHCC)
- Demonstrated senior leadership in leading complex organizational change issues
- Integration of innovative medical education and patient care models
- Incorporating program needs within the health delivery system
- Working within a matrix reporting structure
- Proficiency in planning concepts related to service delivery, budgeting, staffing, and strategic initiatives
- Verbal and written communication skills in a senior leadership capacity
- Experience leading health program practices
- Current licensure with CPSBC
- Two years of leadership experience in healthcare
- Additional management training preferred
- Prior academic leadership experience is an asset
- Appointment as Head of Department for three years, renewable by RDH
- Re-appointment based on annual performance reviews
