The Opportunity.

Responsibilities.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for translation needs within the firm
  • Oversee and coordinate translation projects from initiation to completion for diverse content types
  • Assess translation needs from different departments and/or practice groups and determine the most effective approach
  • Conduct translations where necessary or work with our external translation partners
  • Oversee the translation budget, negotiating rates, and ensuring costeffectiveness
  • Follow quality control processes to maintain the accuracy and consistency of translated materials, as well as compliance with Quebec's language laws
  • Conduct revisions where necessary or collaborate with internal or external translation partners to align translations with firm's standards
  • Develop and maintain a network of external translation partners, assessing and expanding the network as needed
  • Develop and maintain robust term banks for internal use
Qualifications, competencies and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience translating within a professional services or legal environment
  • Proficiency in French and English, with a strong command of legal terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality work
  • Familiarity with translation technologies and tools
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Optional: Member of the OTTIAQ (Ordre des translators, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec)
