Responsibilities:


  • Provide expertise, guidance, and advice to senior management and, internal and external stakeholders, on issues related to financial, economic, engineering, accounting and/or public policyrelated issues in a regulatory context
  • Identify challenges, emerging risks and issues faced by the organization and recommend solutions to reduce and eliminate challenges
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of policies and program objectives
  • Provide direction, coaching, mentorship, and motivation to direct reports
  • Identify and promote development opportunities through training, work assignments and formal succession planning initiatives to nurture a highperformance culture
  • Demonstrate accountable leadership while understanding the business implications of decisions and the alignment to corporate strategy
  • Brief senior management and other stakeholders on new developments, emerging trends
  • Motivate the team to deliver the highest quality of service to internal and external stakeholders using innovation, creative solutions, and professional approaches
  • Create and implement practices to promote diversity and inclusion to support a diverse, accessible, and inclusive organization

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. A graduate degree or professional designation is an asset
  • 7 years' experience in one or more of policy research, rate regulation, planning, design, and construction in a unionized environment
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience in a regulated industry, utility, public sector, or notforprofit setting
  • Proven skills in influencing building rapport and stakeholder relations
  • Issues management experience
  • Proven track record in innovation and modernization initiatives related to energy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including formal presentations to audiences
  • Knowledge of costofservice principles and the Ontario Energy Board's Renewed Regulatory Framework is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation that affects the Ontario energy sector.
  • Project management and organizational skills to undertake complex assignments and manage project teams.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams
