Gault Nature Reserve
Position Summary:
- Compiling and integrating geographical data available in the GNR archives related to various environmental threats (eg., whitetailed deer overpopulation, invasive species, etc.) and longterm monitoring data.
- Perform mapping and geographic analyses
- Elaborate protocols and workflows for the treatment of geographical data
- Conduct literature review on best practices on longterm monitoring of natural ecosystems
- Draft longterm monitoring protocols of natural ecosystems
Qualifications:
Experience with ArcGIS or ArcGIS online. Knowledge of the white-tailed deer populations and research at GNR an asset. Knowledge on how to conduct literature reviews and write research protocols. Self-directed and able to move the research project forward with mínimal supervision.
Experience and education:
Bachelor's degree in science in a relevant field (e.g., biology, environment, geography, etc.).
