The Specialist, Aircraft Configuration reports to Director Engineering and is responsible for the aircraft airframes and components digital reference configuration in Air Transat Maintenance system (AMOS), according to current and new requirements.


  • Set up Assembly tree configurations (Aircraft, Engine, landing gears, etc.) in AMOS in coordination with

Engineering Department:
effectivities, part number configuration, rotables & aircraft assembly position ;

  • Create and update new part numbers in AMOS ;
  • Define and maintain list of authorized rotable positions ;
  • Plan and update configurations as per special requirements such as SBs, major projects or urgent requests, this may include Maintenance program revisions, cabin reconfigurations, check escalations, aircraft/fleet introductions, etc. ;
  • Support Tech Records team maintaining the accuracy between defined and actual tree configurations ;
  • Coordinate any AMOS upgrade/update linked to the configuration setup ;
  • Support daily operations via Technical Assistances ;
  • Ensure and monitor the data integrity in AMOS ;
  • Provide expertise allowing Air Transat to leverage AMOS technology ;
  • Performs other duties and assignments as requested by the Director, Engineering.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent is an asset ;
  • 5+ years of related Airline Maintenance, MRO, manufacturing or equivalent experience ;
  • Demonstrated skills in people and project management organizational skills ;
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and with changing priorities ;
  • Proficiency with MS office software ;
  • Good working knowledge of applicable airline standards and other regulations (e.g. CARs) (asset) ;
  • Strong knowledge of the airline maintenance industry ;
  • Knowledge of AMOS, technical records, and maintenance planning for an airline are considered assets ;
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and coach others, both remotely and inperson ;
  • Sense of initiative, selfdiscipline and proactive thinking ;
  • Be able to selfmotivate and work with mínimal supervision ;
  • Language skills: English essential (oral and written), good working knowledge of French a strong asset.
