Whitetooth Grill Team Lead - Winter 2023/2024
Our _Whitetooth Grill Team Lead_ sets the bar for service excellence and leads by example.

This role supports the _Whitetooth Grill Chef/Manager _for department administration and organization, supervision of the Front of House (FOH) team and will maintain high levels of service quality.

This is a hands-on position that requires stepping in and out of daily operations.

While supervising and supporting staff, the_ Team Lead_ remains dedicated to the overall operation and function of the Whitetooth Grill, including the coordination, planning and organization of special events such as weddings, private functions and staff events during the season.


You will:


  • Assist the WTG Chef/Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring schedules.
  • Assist with training, coaching and building a successful & enthusiastic team of employees.
  • Be an active leader in the resort's Health and Safety program and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that payroll information is submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to administrative functions, including inventory management, ordering and reporting.
  • Maintain effective communications through restaurant, department and resort.
  • Assist with coordination, planning and organization of special events.
  • Ensure all restaurant processes are carried out accurately (cashout, closing, opening).
  • Ensure daily cash consolidation is completed for the outlet.
  • Recommend and implement changes to achieve Food & Beverage strategies and objectives.
  • Set clear expectations for the team and follow up on any disciplinary issues.
  • Perform other duties as required.

You:


  • Have Serving It Right, ProServe, or other course in the responsible service of alcohol.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of food, beverages and service.
  • Are experienced with cash handling and administration.
  • Are proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PointofSale software.
  • Hold an education in hospitality management an asset, not required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Are able to stand for extended periods of time and lift light objects.
  • Can withstand brief exposure to extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, cold) in a mountain environment.
