Description
We're looking for a hands-on Lead Hand Building Services to join our Maintenance team within our Winnipeg Office at 140 Otter Street.
This position will be reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor.This position is responsible for leading a team of custodians and building services for company facilities located in Winnipeg.
This will include minor maintenance, repair work and exterior maintenance services with a focus on ensuring Pollard Banknote continues to offer a safe and healthy work environment.

What You'll Do
- Provide effective leadership and guidance to department ensuring standards and project deadlines achieved
- Plan and organize department workload, work orders and employee assignments,
- Organize and schedule of external contractors, vendors and suppliers
- Promotes safety and safe work practices of self and team
- Leads, supports and develops direct reports through the Performance Management system and other activities.
- Supervise department staff and coordinate task/assignment delegation
- Assist and support with maintenance tasks, as required
- Effective inventory management, monitoring levels ordering when needed
- Oversee monthly regulatory inspections
- Contribute as part of the disaster response team, including some after regular work hour requirements, as necessary
- Other duties as required

What You'll Bring
- A high school diploma and relevant post secondary education
- Five or more years of experience working on a building maintenance and/or custodian team
- A minimum of three years of leadership experience, leading a team
- A handson approach to work and willingness to work alongside your team
