THE ROLE:Reporting to the Project Geologist, the
Geotechnician provides support to the summer exploration projects located in the
Athabasca Basin and for which work will be based out of remote camps. The
Geotechnician will support and perform
various surveys, field tests, and collect field data, participating in various geological, environmental, and possibly drilling
programs within this
temporary fixed term assignment.


OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

You have a solid background of geotechnical skills acquired from previous field experience working on exploration drilling
programs or similar projects. You bring a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, willingness to learn and be trained, and
a commitment to safety and safe work practices at all times.


Additional qualifications and attributes include:

  • 02 years of similarly relevant work experience (e.g., remote field work, mining industry) is required; experience in
the uranium industry is considered an asset.

  • Postsecondary education in an applicable field is an asset.
  • Geotechnical core logging experience is considered an asset.
  • Capable of performing various field tests and willing to learn additional field test procedures as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully follow instructions and directions and execute tasks safely and accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all levels of staff, contractors, and vendors to perform tasks,
- share information, and achieve goals.
  • Possession of a Drivers' License that is valid and in good standing, and the willingness to operate vehicles in

- remote areas.
  • Experience driving an ATV is an asset.
  • Certified in First Aid is strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency to complete dataentry tasks is required; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is

- preferred.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are required to articulate, convey, clarify and report information and
- progress updates to others.
  • Willingness and ability to carry out work tasks and duties outdoors up to 15% of the time, team lifting up to 50 lbs
- regularly, and with varying hours of work (up to 11 hours per day).
  • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and assigned; CSAapproved steel toe
- boots are mandatory for most tasks.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work closely with and at the direction of the Project Geologist to conduct surveys on work sites and other areas of
interest, actively participating in uranium exploration field programs.

  • Carry out geological core logging, sampling, and downhole borehole logging activities.
  • Operate and maintain geophysical and geotechnical instruments and equipment to carry out assigned tasks.
  • Conduct geotechnical core logging and investigation, collect specimens of various elements like rock, soil, water,

- and minerals.
  • Perform all duties and activities in accordance with Standard Operating and Work Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


The role is being offered as a
temporary position starting on or about
June 1st, 2024, for a term of up to
4 months.

The position is based at one of Denison's exploration sites, working on a 2-week on / 2-week off rotation. The successful
office to the Project site. Denison will provide board and lodging while at the Project site and all required PPE outside of
safety boots.
