This role is a hybrid position based in Milton requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. Up to 2 days per week remote as business demands require.

Position Summary

Reporting to the divisional HR Manager, administers Human Resource programs and employee culture initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Supports communication and change management efforts toward achievement of our HR objectives.


Essential Functions- Working with internal stakeholders, leads the creation, communication, approval process, and translations of assigned human resource projects- Responsible for the daily administration of Human Resource programs and services, including but not limited to employee recognition programs, diversity, employment equity and other employee culture initiatives- Leads in the organization and coordination of employee activities and events, as well as any support needed during the activities or events.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders for successful execution of employee engagement and culture driving events.- Actively leads and engages in HR communication initiatives and ensures clarity regarding deliverables, deadlines, and resources- Maintains HR website and communication boards.

Develops and gathers content for quarterly employee newsletters- Performs project management duties, including developing and maintaining project plans, coordinating team activities, participating in, and facilitating meetings and other associated tasks.- Communicates the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption- Manages divisional employee Leaves of Absence including disability, parental, etc.

Manages benefits collection process, maintains communication with employees, and participates in return to work planning- Understands GFS practices and policies and ensures leaders understand how to properly implement.- Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Excellent communication, coordination, presentation skills and problem solving skills.- Creative skills or creating visually appealing content an asset- Event planning experience an asset- Ability to comfortably reach out and build relationships with employees, vendors, and leadership- Thorough understanding of GFS culture, policies and employment-related laws, and regulations.- Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field- Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Refers to policies and practices for guidance.- Must be able to manage one's own time, prioritize work tasks, be detail-oriented, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment.- Professional demeanor, honesty, integrity, drive, tenacity, determination, and a willingness to learn.
