Job Summary:
  • The Regional Development Manager II is accountable for boosting sales, expanding the market, and establishing strategies for the assigned regional distribution partners.
  • This role involves creating sales and regional distribution strategies, providing distributor training, and implementing marketing communication tactics to guarantee program execution and market share growth.
  • Acting as a link between regional distribution partners and key customers, collaborating with distributor channel leadership, Director of Sales, and internal teams to devise business plans for enhanced market penetration.
  • The Business Manager coordinates all marketing endeavors with distribution partners to develop and execute plans for market share growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and executes short-term and long-term business plans for regional distribution partners.
  • Establishes strategic relationships with key decision makers.
  • Delivers sales presentations and trains on new programs and products.
  • Collaborates with distributors to enhance parts and service sales by leveraging Generac products.
  • Supports promotional programs and expands the product line with existing partners.
  • Identifies and nurtures new business opportunities.
  • Backs new product launches and analyzes territory opportunities and customer needs.
  • Develops KPIs aligning with channel goals, tracks territory metrics, and reports regularly.
  • Coordinates all marketing activities with distribution partners and counters competitors' influence in the territory.
Minimal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of field sales experience in 2-step distribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical and HVAC wholesale partners and contractors.
  • Prior experience in power generation or equipment industries.
  • Proficiency in territory marketing campaigns and business analysis.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Ability to travel overnight at least 50%.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of complex sales processes.
  • Ability to analyze key business metrics and effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in presenting to various audiences and self-motivated in field-based roles.
  • Capable of problem-solving, data collection, and implementing process improvements.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly talk, hear, manipulate objects, stand, and walk.
  • May need to stoop, bend, reach above shoulders, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Conditions may involve computer-based work, sitting, close vision, and adjusting focus.
