POSITION OVERVIEW:
A true HR Generalist opportunity, you will align with our values of integrity, teamwork, service excellence and respect & inclusivity.
You will be the first point of contact for employee relations matters, lead the HRIS system and support the overall payroll function and performance management functions.
A strong communicator, you have the ability to support the management team with everyday questions while also being able to deliver orientations and training sessions.
You will work both independently and on collaborative work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.A strong problem solver, you will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and full understanding of time management and prioritizing daily HR tasks and larger projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
- Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources generalist experience.
- Hands on experience with HRIS systems and payroll function. Knowledge and understanding of data integrity and checks in place to ensure accuracy.
- Claims management (STD/LTD/GRTW) experience
- Full cycle recruitment experience.
- Training and/or facilitating deemed an asset. Experience with planning and delivering orientations.
- Education: Post-Secondary degree/postgraduate in Human Resources Management
- Skills: You must have superior planning, organization and prioritization skills while ensuring a focus on quality. Attentive to detail while able to see the broader picture in order to identify efficiencies.
- Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you should be selfsufficient and selfmotivated. It is also a role that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As CAA Niagara's Human Resources Generalist, you will be supporting the fundamental basis of HR, including, but not limited to:
- Recruiting functions, including full-cycle recruitment for varying levels in the organization.
- Owning & Maintaining the HRIS system (Ceridian Dayforce), consistently looking for innovative ways to efficiently manage processes and support the business
- Managing short and longterm disability claims for employee group including liaising with management, third party consultants, record keeping, and developing safe return to work plans
- Supporting managers to identify performance concerns, providing advice and recommendations to managers regarding the performance management process.
- Administrative tasks associated with HR function, including reporting, reconciliation, updating employee data, maintaining employee files.
- Employee Engagement activities, including launching of quarterly surveys, analysis of data, presenting findings and supporting ongoing engagement action planning
- Aligning with VP, HR on all company led initiatives, providing support to HR, managers and employees alike.
