The Opportunity:

75 hours bi-weekly

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in a health related discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid NS driver's licence required to travel to offsite IWK locations and to community based meetings.
3 years health promotion experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
Excellent understanding of cultural competence, knowledge and skills working with a variety of diverse communities is required.
Experience in planning, supporting, and preparing material for events.
Experience working with underrepresented and underserved communities.
Experience with or knowledge of Primary Health Care, Population Health, and Community Development approaches required
Experience in program development and project management
Knowledge of group process, and adult education.
Ability to work effectively with colleagues, team members and community groups.
Experience in addressing issues related to determinants of health.
Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills.
