75 hours bi-weekly
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a health related discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid NS driver's licence required to travel to offsite IWK locations and to community based meetings.
- 3 years health promotion experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
- Excellent understanding of cultural competence, knowledge and skills working with a variety of diverse communities is required.
- Experience in planning, supporting, and preparing material for events.
- Experience working with underrepresented and underserved communities.
- Experience with or knowledge of Primary Health Care, Population Health, and Community Development approaches required
- Experience in program development and project management
- Knowledge of group process, and adult education.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, team members and community groups.
- Experience in addressing issues related to determinants of health.
- Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills.
