The Opportunity:

75 hours bi-weekly


Your Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree in a health related discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid NS driver's licence required to travel to offsite IWK locations and to community based meetings.
  • 3 years health promotion experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
  • Excellent understanding of cultural competence, knowledge and skills working with a variety of diverse communities is required.
  • Experience in planning, supporting, and preparing material for events.
  • Experience working with underrepresented and underserved communities.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Primary Health Care, Population Health, and Community Development approaches required
  • Experience in program development and project management
  • Knowledge of group process, and adult education.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, team members and community groups.
  • Experience in addressing issues related to determinants of health.
  • Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills.
