Role and Facility Information:
Come work as an Acute Care General Surgeon with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
The Lions Gate Hospital Division of General Surgery is seeking a full time acute care general surgeon to support the on-call/emergency work in hospital as part of a new Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Service.
The ACS surgeon will be expected to provide call coverage for 1 week at a time with night-time respite 3 nights per week.
The number of weeks are negotiable but a minimum commitment of 13 weeks per year will be required.The ACS surgeon is responsible for rounding on all patients admitted through the emergency department on a daily basis and to provide education and teaching on the ward as agreed upon by the group.
