  • Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Project Manager, Automatic Train Control to join our team
    What You Will Do:
  • Reporting to the Project Director-ATC, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to establish overall scope, schedule, and budget approvals for various ATC projects; and ensures the delivery of all design work, equipment, Factory Acceptance Testing, and tracking of construction activities. The Project Manager -ATC oversees and coordinates key supplier contracts for the Department from inception, planning, and procurement through to product commissioning in accordance with TTC budgets, schedules and quality assurance requirements.
  • You will also ensure the establishment of appropriate project management procedures and methods within each section to ensure business objectives are achieved. The incumbent assists the Senior Project Manager-ATC in preparing and overseeing the department budget, and ensures financial accountability, contract, schedule, and quality management.
  • Moreover, you will Implement and manage the assigned project(s) from inception, planning, design, procurement through to completion.

    What Qualifications Do You Bring?:
  • A University Degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, combined with extensive project experience in the areas of construction and engineering management within an operational rail environment
  • Must be licenced with the Professional Engineers of Ontario
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and practices, including conceptual planning, risk management and quality management
  • Knowledge of Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems, implementation practices, ATC assets, and ATC Project life cycle
  • Sound judgement, highly developed management, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; negotiation and mediation skills; excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, methods and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a number of large multidisciplined projects in a timely fashion, within budgets and to expected level of quality
  • Ability to motivate and influence a diverse group of internal and external project stakeholders, must exercise tact and diplomacy when providing direction and support to others
  • Knowledge of procurement/contracting principles, the development of contract documents, and the tender evaluation/award process
  • Ability to assess and reorganize priorities to suit changing requirements
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
