Mandate


We are looking for an experienced scrum master who will lead product development scrum teams while coaching the team members in Agile frameworks for higher scrum maturity.


CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Effectively facilitate Scrum Teams and participate in ceremonies.
  • Support Scrum Team to define clear sprint goals and S.M.A.R.T. PI objectives.
  • Encourage increased quality of stories ensuring business value and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated and defined.
  • Assist Product Owner with prioritizing user stories and backlog refinement.
  • Proactively identify impediments and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Identify and Manage risks & dependencies between teams and vendors.
  • Effectively collaborate and negotiate with other teams and project managers to manage cross dependencies and sequencing of deliverables.
  • Manage resources, risk, quality, scope and deliverables.
  • Ability to escalate responsibly.
  • Provide coaching and support team members on Agile and Scrum practices and principles.
  • Track, interpret and respond to team metrics, sprint progress and release status.
  • Assist in release management facilitation.
  • Promote and encourage team to attain selfsufficiency.
  • Introduce new and advanced practices to improve processes, team dynamics and performance.
  • Solicit and encourage team feedback to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of product or project development experience on an Agile Team, and 3+ years working as a scrum master (or a combination of years of experience)
  • Experience with agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), understanding of software development life cycle models as well as indepth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
  • Exemplify and promote Agile values and principles
  • Experience with Agile tools (i.e. Azure DevOps, Confluence, Jira)
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
  • Experienced in planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
  • Problemsolving and conflictresolution capabilities
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Financial Services industries
  • Scrum Master certification
