Pincher Creek has an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Aide position in a casual / relief employee position. The Pincher Creek Health Care Centre has 16 acute care beds, two operating rooms, emergency room. As well the Centre includes home care services, diagnostic imaging, Radiology Associates, laboratory services, Allied Health services, acute and ambulatory care, and public health nursing. The Town of Pincher Creek is a well-established community located at the edge of southern Alberta. Nestled near the mountains, Castle Mountain is a short drive away and Waterton Lakes National Park is also just a quick jaunt for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. With a variety of winter and summer activities and a diversity of amenities and tourist attractions, Pincher Creek embodies the benefits of balancing work with life. Of course, if you need some time in the city, Lethbridge is just an hour's drive away and Great Falls, Montana is only four hours for a weekend of shopping in the states.
Description:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications:Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory at Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum; and are either in their 1st year of practical nursing program; or 2nd year of baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program will be considered. Must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification.
