We are looking for a Performance Officer to support our Policy, Strategy and Performance branch. The Performance Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.


Our Performance Officers provide advice and support at all levels of the organization on performance measurement, reporting and overall results-based management.

This position requires the ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships with clients and stakeholders.


Screening Criteria:


Education:


University degree in science, engineering, business / public administration or in another field that is relevant to the duties of this position.

Experience:


  • Significant experience* in research, analysis, preparation and presentation of reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Significant experience* building relationships, providing advice and working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Assets:


  • Experience responding to requests from central agencies (e.g. Treasury Board Secretariat, Privy Council Office) and in supporting the results elements of Memoranda to Cabinet and Treasury Board Submissions may be considered an asset.
  • Experience in planning, risk management, evaluation and/or internal audit may be considered an asset.
  • Significant experience means at least two years.

  • Knowledge of performance measurement principles, including defining measurable results, developing meaningful performance indicators, designing performance reports and creating logic models.
  • Working knowledge of the TBS Policy on Results and its related directives.
  • Ability to use strong analytical skills with mínimal supervision to analyze performance results, draw conclusions and communicate recommendations.
  • Ability to monitor effectiveness of performance measurement strategies, processes and tools and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
