As a Power Lift Truck Technician, you will maintain a safe environment, keep our machines in good working order, conduct investigations and repair equipment as needed.
Shift:
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Distribution Center

What You'll be doing:
- Execute business priorities within the Distribution Centre including but not limited to preventative maintenance and repairs within the scope of training, policy and regulation on powered lift trucks, machinery, which includes but is not limited to, electrical, steering, braking, hydraulic, frames, transmissions, drive axles, suspension, and wheels and lifting systems pertaining to powered lift truck equipment
- Powered Lift Truck preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Diagnoses and service drive units and control systems in electric vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair powered lift truck internal combustion engines as necessary
- Use safety techniques for lifting, rigging, blocking, and lockout devices
- Operate hand, power, specialized, precision, and electronic service tools to make required repairs
- Prepare estimates and work plans on problems and repairs
- Install, maintain, repair equipment, including powered lift trucks, conveyors, and sorters
- Participate in implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for completing work requests in a timely fashion, completing productivity reports, ordering needed supplies and performing an inventory of supplies.
- Complete and close out work orders issued using computerized maintenance management and facility management system.
- Exercises care in avoiding errors and rework and pays attention to detail.
- Responsible for attending training sessions as scheduled and performing other miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to battery changing and maintenance, light plumbing, painting, furniture and partition setups as well as meeting set ups and take downs.
- Maintains safe environment for associates and visitors with 5S standards. Identifies security risks and takes appropriate corrective measures.
The experience we need:
- Valid 282E Powered Lift Truck Technician License
- Experience working in a Maintenance department with powered lift trucks including Raymond counterbalance clamp trucks, reach forklift trucks, order picker forklifts, electric pallet tricks and stock pickers.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs independently
- Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet using scissors lift, boom lift and MHE (training provided).
- Proven ability to work well under pressure; strong attention to detail; and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both in verbally and in writing
- Must work well individually and within a team.
- Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
