Primary Responsibilities

Assist the fabrication department through a variety of production tasks, including saw cutting, grinding, punching and other various tasks. Throughout the apprenticeship the responsibilities will grow alongside a developing skillset.
Assist with preparing units for painting including installing hardware, caulking, and installing filter bags.
Assist with shipping and receiving, including material handling, racking steel, and utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts (willing to train).
Assist on service calls on an as needed basis.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Other general labourer duties as required.

Qualifications:

Current 308A Sheetmetal Apprentice, or willing to join an apprenticeship.
Punctuality, must be on time for shift and be consistent with attendance.
Experience with or willing to learn how to use a variety of hand tools and machinery for metal fabrication.
Ability to work in a safe manner.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
Able to stand regularly and lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Other

40 hours per week with possible overtime
7am 4pm Monday Thursday, 7am 1pm Friday
Must bring your own: Tools, Steeltoed safety boots, and welding helmet and attire.
