The role:

The Manager of Allocations is responsible for ensuring smooth and effective allocations of product for all our retail stores.

This role will manage, provide insight, and oversee execution of a group of allocators who are in control of shipping or transferring product based on sales, new receipts, and store capacity guidelines.

The Manager of Allocations will work closely with merchandising, planning, operations, and buying departments to ensure optimal product flow and inventory-to-sales ratios.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to allocations team to produce highquality, accurate and timely accomplishment of the allocation objectives
Partner with planning and merchandising to prioritize weekly shipping plans based on sales, capacity reports, merchandise priorities, and store profiles, and available bulks.
Work with the ERP team to customize inventory management modules related to inventory management
Create and maintain solid understanding of store profiles to intelligently allocate merchandise to maximize sales.
Adjust allocation strategies inseason where needed and provide appropriate and timely direction in order to react to customer and business needs.
Manage allocation metrics and drive continuous improvement of those metrics partnering with Operations, Demand and Supply Planning, and Sales stakeholders
Use solid judgment to recommend actions (e.g. transfers & consolidations) to Merchandisers, Planning, and Management.
Work with allocations team to execute all plans that have been approved by management.
45 years allocations experience at either a vertical or multibrand retailer.
45 years in retail or ecommerce store sales.
12 years of inventory management experience.
Experience managing a team of entry to senior level employees.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of inventory planning is an asset.
Very strong communication skills: oral, visual, written.
Advanced experience using excel, including pivot tables.
