***: As an IT Operations Specialist, you will be a key player in our Agency's IT operations development and execution, assuring the highest standards in IT policy adherence and infrastructure management. You will have opportunities to oversee multiple IT projects, collaborate with different teams, and keep current with technology trends. This position requires technical leadership, thorough documentation expertise, and a self-starting approach to audits and system optimization. With an eye toward innovation and continual improvement, you will contribute to the development of our IT infrastructure while overcoming the exciting difficulties presented by a rapidly changing technological environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of SCCM for efficient software distribution, patch management, and endpoint configuration management.
  • Oversee Windows server administration, including installation, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards related to SCCM and Windows management, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify infrastructure needs, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement innovative solutions leveraging SCCM and Windows management tools.
  • Manage and maintain our infrastructure, including networking equipment, Windows Server, and Workstation environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the infrastructure team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits and performance monitoring to identify system vulnerabilities, optimize resource utilization, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including SCCM configurations, Windows server setups, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead IT projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines and budgets.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, recommending and implementing relevant improvements.
  • Support administration of Microsoft 365, Windows Server environment, HCI Cluster, Network environment, certificates, patches/updates, Anti-Virus.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience in IT infrastructure operations, with a strong emphasis on SCCM and Windows management.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing SCCM for software distribution, patch management, and endpoint configuration management.
  • Indepth knowledge of Windows server administration, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL standards, frameworks, and best practices, with relevant certifications highly desirable.
  • Preferred certifications: MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNP.
  • Proven expertise in managing and maintaining complex infrastructure, including networking equipment, Windows Server, and Workstation environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Initiativetaking problemsolving approach with keen mindfulness and a strong commitment to delivering highquality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information related to the organization, clients, and employees.
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check.
  • Possess a valid Ontario Driver's License and have access to a vehicle for occasional travel to various locations as required.

SALARY:

IT Operations Specialist Salary Scale ($72,900 - $85,664 per annum) with Competitive Benefits Package (health & dental), Defined Pension plan, and paid time off entitlements (starting at 20 vacation days & 3 float days)
