Job Summary
Planning, organization, directing, communicating, and provisioning of advanced technical systems and team leadership.

Leadership of the lifecycle, upgrading, testing, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and ongoing technical support for the Endpoint computing environment and the related software, technology and systems - nationally.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead / participate in complex or multiple complex project(s), including crossfunctional projects, in the design and implementation and / or maintenance of system architecture and assigned system interface changes for enhancements and meeting special requirements.
  • This would involve conducting costbenefit analysis, planning, reviewing, and documenting, as well as architecture designs. o Technical and nontechnical requirement gathering and matching to business objectives
- leading implementation planning, issue resolution, and supporting team members on project/lifecycle issues o recommending solutions, and / or recommend corrective action to management

  • Lead / participate in the design / construction and testing of supported environment technology components
  • Lead participate/monitor/plan/execute the ongoing lifecycle support activities for the Endpoint computing responsibilities.
  • Analyze, plan, specify, and define systems builds and changes and other technical requirements for new client computing software or system components to ensure current and future interoperability.
  • Serve as the escalation point for issues resolution of team members.
  • Support and facilitate knowledge sharing and cross training of team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships and communications with clients/stakeholders locally and nationally.
  • Communicate and advise on changes to plans, programs, priorities, and shifts in process affecting work outcomes and project milestones
  • Continuous improvement of new and supported services, platforms, upgrades, strategies, and procedures.
  • Collaboration with internal and external technical experts to achieve positive outcomes.

Job Requirements

Education:

Graduated from a recognised university or community college with an acceptable specialisation in computer science of information systems, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience


Experience

  • Extensive experience with Patch Management and Lifecycle processes and guidelines in OT and IT environments
  • Experience leading information technology projects and teams
  • Experience with technical change management creation, planning, review and approvals.
  • Virtual platform experience with VDI "VMWare Horizon"
  • Active Directory, GPO, and core technology service experience "network, storage, security"
  • Experience chairing or facilitating technical planning and schedule refinement meetings
  • Agile or Safe facilitation planning experience
  • Agile sprint planning and SAFE experience preferred

Knowledge

  • A thorough and deep understanding of the interrelationships among various IT and OT processes, systems and practices related to the position responsibilities.
  • A detailed understanding of the interfaces between client computing components and other systems including network, servers, firewall.
  • Knowledge of available methodologies and tools for systems testing / certification and related international standards and specifications.
  • Sound knowledge of NAV CANADA architectural, functional and policy framework.
  • Knowledge of IT/OT/Development policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Knowledge of contract / procurement processes
