POSITION
We are currently looking for 2 part-time Computer Support Technicians to provide technical support and customer support to end users - address any computer (windows and iOS) related issues and set up audio and visual equipment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Acting as the initial point of contact for users in need of technical assistance, which includes but is not restricted to the testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video-conferencing equipment and software
- Establishing and upholding Zoom connections, as well as ensuring camera positioning aligns with requirements
- Conducting both onsite and remote troubleshooting to identify the underlying causes of issues
- Escalating unresolved matters to the IT and Admin Specialist and collaboratively resolving technical challenges
- Documenting responses to provide support for events, ensuring accurate tracking of incident progress
- Overseeing equipment usage and monitoring the livestream of events being broadcasted
- Addressing inquiries related to computers and administrative matters from customers
- Collaborating with fellow staff members and users to facilitate seamless daily operations
- Fulfilling any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical issues with videoconferencing equipment and software.
- Extensive familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other videoconference platforms.
- High level of comfort in engaging with individuals of diverse personalities in person, over the phone, and via remote tools.
- Capability to handle heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs in weight.
- Pursuing or holding a college or university degree.
- Ability to multitask effectively and work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Desired Skills:
- Exceptional customer service acumen and punctuality.
- Strong organizational skills, enabling effective planning and task management within time constraints.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
- Preferred experience in cadets or military roles.
WORK HOURS:
August to December, with possibility to extend.
While members are contacted for various projects, be prepared to work about 10 to 20 hours per week on:
Weekdays and Weekends:
- 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
- 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 15 per week
Salary:
$17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
