Alavida Lifestyles is looking for an
Activities Manager to join our retirement residence located in
Nepean - Ottawa, ON.

The Activities Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the planning and implementation of recreational activities and programming for the retirement residence.

-
RESPONSIBILITIES_

Develop, implement and evaluate recreational programs and services to meet the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and intellectual needs of the Residents
Provide opportunities for Residents to be involved in the planning of the programs
Assess individual Resident needs and care plan accordingly
Coordinate community services for the Residents (ex. Pastoral Care)
Facilitate the Residents' Council
Manage the departmental budget
Accountable to hire, discipline and conduct performance reviews of all direct reports
To produce and distribute the monthly recreation activity calendar
Performs other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS_

A community college diploma/university degree in a related recreation program is preferred
At least 2 years of experience working with seniors in a leadership role
Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly creative and customer service oriented
Familiar with local community services/clubs
Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a special class license
Must have a passion for working with seniors

Salary:
$45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
