    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Job Summary:
    The Feeder/Folder continuously grasps, sorts and grades clean textiles and then either folds by hand or feeds into an ironer or folding machine for final finishing. Performs other tasks as required.

    Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

    Essential Functions:
    - Grasp textiles from a cart/bin then sort, inspect and grade according to quality standards.
    - Fold, assemble and package by hand different types and sizes of textiles.
    - Feed different types and sizes of textiles into ironers or folding machines.
    - Place finished product onto conveyors or into carts, dump slings of product onto work tables.
    - Move loaded or empty carts/bins within the production area.
    - Process textiles according to type and written packing instructions.
    - Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
    - Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
    - Keep work area neat and clean.

    Additional Functions:
    - Work in other production positions as needed.
    Qualifications:
    - Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
    - Recognize, inspect and grade product.
    - Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
    - Comprehend and follow direction.

    Typical Physical Activity:
    - Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 25 lbs. and stooping.
    - Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.

    Typical Environmental Conditions:
    - Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust.

    L'alimentateur/plieur saisit, trie et classe continuellement des textiles propres, puis soit les plie à la main ou les place dans une repasseuse ou une plieuse pour la finition. Effectue d'autres tâches comme requis.

    Fonctions principales :
    – Prend les textiles d'un chariot ou d'un bac, puis les trie, les inspecte et les classe selon les normes de qualité.
    – Plie, assemble et emballe à la main différents types et tailles de textiles.
    – Place différents types et différentes tailles de textiles dans la repasseuse ou la plieuse.
    – Place les produits finis sur les convoyeurs ou dans les chariots, retire les élingues pour les placer sur les tables de travail.
    – Déplace les chariots et les bacs chargés ou vides dans la zone de production.
    – Traite les vêtements selon le type et les instructions écrites sur les emballages.
    – Respecte de façon continue les normes d'efficacité et de sécurité pour le poste.
    – Suit les instructions de la supervision.
    – Garde la zone de travail propre et bien rangée.

    – Travaille dans d'autres postes de production au besoin.
    Compétences :
    – Reconnaît les couleurs et les tailles, compte et trie avec précision.
    – Reconnaît, inspecte et note le produit.
    – Comprend et suit les instructions écrites sur les emballages.
    – Comprend et suit les directives.

    Activité physique reliée à l'emploi :
    – Les exigences physiques consistent à se tenir debout, marcher, tendre les bras au-dessus de la tête, pousser, tirer, saisir, soulever des poids d'un maximum de 25 lb et se pencher.
    – Les exigences physiques consistent à être en mesure de répondre aux exigences physiques pendant tout le quart de travail.

    Conditions environnementales typiques :
    – Les zones de production d'une installation de buanderie industrielle typique qui comprend des variations de température, d'odeurs, d'humidité, de charpie et de poussière.
