Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Demand Planning and Initiative Delivery, the Business Lead will own the end to end delivery of projects for Merchant Solutions & hold the following accountabilities:

  • Lead the end to end delivery of small/medium size projects for Merchant Solutions business while meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule and quality for the project.
  • Provide leadership to the project teams to ensure smooth implementation of project deliverables.
  • Manage the acquisition and deployment of resources necessary to the success of the projects.
  • Oversee the work of and provide leadership and guidance for the BA/BPA resources on the project.
  • Create, communicate, and maintain the project plan for the business ensuring that all work packages and related dependencies are included.
  • Complete all project artifacts on time as per the PDLC and ensure all project documentation and artifacts are stored and accessible for audit purposes.
  • Provide project status updates for key stakeholders, including review of project plan and RAID log
  • Conduct frequent reviews of the project plan and Risks, Actions, Issues and Key Decisions.
  • Oversee the Business Readiness and Acceptance by ensuring the completion of Communication, Training, Change Management and Day 2 Production support plan.
  • Understand target operating model and core systems roadmaps as inputs to execution of initiative delivery schedules. Data Impacts of initiatives to be understood in partnership with Data Steward.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams (Application owners, ITS, QE) to ensure technology work packages are aligned with business work packages. Oversee traceability between requirements and final solution.
  • Continuous stakeholder communication and management to ensure resource participation in the project from end to end.
  • Partner with PM and Technical Delivery Lead when assigned to ensure all business led project components are represented and coordinated. Coordinate to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:


  • Understanding and proven experience with the enterprise project delivery methodology standards.
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall projects and proficient with tools such as Jira, Confluence and MS Project.
  • Track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated change management skills to ensure business readiness and successful project implementation.
  • Coaching and leadership skills to help project resources deliver work packages on time with required quality
  • Ability to effectively prioritize when faced with competing deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate will be required to ensure alignment across project stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage the needs of stakeholder groups through the projects.
  • Payment Industry/Merchant Acquiring experience, with knowledge of POS solutions and supporting systems is an asset.
