The Internal Communications Coordinator will take a leading and supporting role in corporate communications with internal and external audiences, while taking ownership over coordination and administration functions for the Communications team and various internal communications tactics and deliverables.
Coordinate content, edit and distribute the monthly company newsletter - Tiger Tales
Oversee and create all internal and corporate communications calendars and pipeline documentation, including content for weekly communications to HO/MBO/GTW Managers and to all Stores.
Capture and review content for our Stores and DC employees' communication tool - Nudge - from various stakeholders within the business.
Develop, review and edit professional high quality strategic communications products for the internal communications environment such as communications strategies, materials for stores, GT Hub both support offices and stores including articles and announcements, video script, speaking notes, print materials, Tiger Tales and employee surveys.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify, recommend, lead and create communications and engagement products that promote and enhance Giant Tiger initiatives and organizational programs, strategic priorities and operational and/or corporate products.
Oversee and develop all annual corporate charitable merchandise programs, messaging and roll out plans.
Actively work with internal group (D,E &I, etc) to establish communications goals and objectives. Oversee all DEI internal communications and internal stakeholder reporting.
Look for new and innovative ways to celebrate Team Tiger internally and externally
Internal Communications Coordinator, Key Qualifications
Completion of a postsecondary program,
Communications and PR experience
Well organized with the capacity to multi-task and work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
Have a mastery of the English language and very good writing skills.
Comfortable and productive working both independently and in a team environment.
Have a positive attitude with a talent for engaging with people in an uplifting manner.
Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
