Job Summary

TYLin has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator in out Vancouver office for bridge engineering projects.

This position will provide support to Project Managers on multiple projects, work closely with our internal teams as well as external partners and is responsible for the successful coordination of projects.

This position requires strong communication skills, knowledge of project management principles and understanding of project financials.


Responsibilities & Qualifications- Assist Project Managers in developing project plans, schedules and budgets, as well as with risk and change management.- Monitor project schedules, budgets and expenditures and prepare forecasts.- Prepare and provide project status reports presenting the overall project progress and performance to the Client and TYLin Sector Leader, Principal Engineer and Project Manager.- Compile summary information to include in project status reports.- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients.- Develop and maintain all required project documentation, including issue and risk registers, communication plans and project management plans.- Assist with preparation and review of contracts and agreements.- Ensure projects meet corporate risk management and document control requirements.- Assist with tracking deliverables and change orders.- Provide administrative support as needed.- Communicate continually to ensure all parties are informed about project status, issues and solutions, schedule risks, and related factors.- Coordinate proactively with project teams to ensure success in meeting the client's objectives and keeping projects on track.- Assist our teams in maintaining the highest quality of service in accordance with TYLin's Quality Management System.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of at least 3+ years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in a similar role in the consulting engineering or construction industry is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts.
  • Must have highly effective communication skills, including written, oneonone, and within a group and team environment.
  • Requires proven ability to interface effectively internally with office and corporate staff, peers and superiors and coordinate externally with Clients, subconsultants, and others.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
