General Description
A 6-month internship that may be extended or converted to a chemist position following training and demonstrated competency. This job is an entry level position designed to move new graduates into chemist positions

Responsibilities

  • Assist with laboratory maintenance, such as balance and pH meter checks, sample destruction, glassware management, organization, and archiving.
  • Train on a variety of QC Chemistry techniques, such as Basic Techniques (pipetting, weighing, documentation), Wet Chemistry, Packaging Component Testing, HPLC, Dissolution, GC. After demonstrated competence, may progress to product testing.

Qualifications:


  • Some handson laboratory experience through Co-Op or technical training.
  • Competency with MS Word and Excel.

Education

Required:

  • Degree or diploma in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related science.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working within the Chemistry Laboratories

  • 37.5hour work week
