JOB SUMMARY
This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of October 31, 2023.


The Use of Proceeds Specialist assists charitable organizations to use gaming proceeds for eligible programs that comply with AGLC policies.

This position is required to work directly and extensively with charitable gaming licensees in a competent and professional manner. Use of proceeds requests are varied and represent a wide spectrum of charitable groups. Assessment of these requests must be accurate and align with policy and delegation of authority requirements. Timely responses are essential. Considerable independent judgment and decision-making must be exercised to determine eligible use of proceed requests that comply with policy.


The incumbent is required to organize and conduct meetings with charities to review and assist with their use of proceed requirements, and to assist with the use of proceeds policy interpretation and clarification.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Completion of high school
  • Minimum three years of administrative office experience and computer knowledge
  • Postsecondary education in a related field is an asset (e.g., business administration)
  • Experience in a regulatory or licensing environment is an asset
