Marketing Coordinator, - Marketing and Communications

About the Role:


Reporting to the Social Marketing Manager at , you will help to develop best-in-class, data-driven social media branded content strategies and campaigns (across paid, owned and earned) for our priority programs and brands.

You'll work closely with our sales team on monetization opportunities, and our team on bespoke branded content programs.

We are seeking someone who is a strategic and creative thinker, has a passion for media and content and is up-to-date on all social trends and platforms.

This role will help to build multi-platform integrated marketing programs for Canadian advertisers, leveraging Corus' premium brand properties.


You will contribute by:


  • Develop bestinclass, insightsdriven social media strategies, presentations and executions (across paid, owned and earned) for our clients, leveraging Corus' premium brand properties
  • Attend briefings, brainstorms and client pitches, developing strategies for clients as part of 360 campaigns (including content, deployment, and optimization), ensuring client's KPIs are met
  • Advise on the latest industry trends, algorithm changes, best practices, and Canadian consumer behavior to inform our social/digital strategies, driving performance and campaign objectives
  • Work crossfunctionally throughout Corus (social, digital, marketing, sales, legal)
  • Educate key stakeholders on social and digital best practices, specs and other considerations, as needed
  • Work with external partners, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other social platforms to keep up to date with the latest developments on the platform
  • Create marketing materials, sales collateral, brand fact sheets, case studies, research and trend reports

Skills and Experience you will bring:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in social media/marketing with an understanding of key social success metrics and the social marketing industry in Canada.
  • Indepth knowledge of key platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, clients and external partners
  • A clear understanding of the Canadian entertainment industry, as well as emerging trends in TV, social, and digital.
