Description

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you would be responsible for ensuring that all incoming and out-going deliveries to/from the facility are received, inspected and managed efficiently and accurately.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Role accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

General Labour

  • Utilize forklifts and cranes as required.
  • Expedite Argus Product Inventory Bins to corresponding machines.
  • Check and maintain existing and incoming stock levels of raw material and final product.
  • Complete documentation for work carried out. Route the product and related documentation to the appropriate location once completed.
  • Participate in inventory control activities.
  • Crate building/ordering to assist shipper as needed.
  • Clean and maintain the work area and equipment used daily.
  • Safely manoeuvre raw material/ finished product within the manufacturing plant. Handle materials and equipment with care to ensure raw materials are not damaged while being transported. Report any concerns to the Plant Supervisor.
  • Pulls protectors from crates, applies them to jobs in AX, and puts them with the parts.
  • Use measuring tools as required.
  • Forklift use to empty garbage/steel chip bins.

Shipping and Receiving

  • Covers Shipping and Receiving in the absence of the Shipper/ Receiver.
  • Interpret shipping information on work orders and complete shipping instructions, as required.
  • Receive all shipments of all deliveries into the facility:
  • Open, unload and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Review documents to ensure all required paperwork is received prior to offloading materials.
  • Receive and process receiving/work order correspondence efficiently in AX.
  • Transfer material and products to required departments/ employees.
  • Ship completed products to customers:
  • Inspect, prepare, mark, weigh and box outgoing shipments/ orders for customers.
  • Prepare courier documentation and schedule courier/shipments between customers and suppliers.
  • Ship as per Sales Order requirements.
  • Assist with loading and offloading items from shipping trucks daily, using a forklift or crane as required.
  • Works with external courier services to negotiate the best rates for Argus machine for all shipping requirements.
  • Receive all incoming consumables and enter into AX. Put consumables away.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience in shipping and receiving an asset.
  • Machine shop inspection experience an asset.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Forklift experience an asset.
  • Competent using computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe and Dynamics AX.
  • General knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices, Quality Assurance requirements, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) principles and the ability to impart that knowledge to others.
  • All new hires are required to be Fully Vaccinated at time of hire or have an approved exception before commencing work for Argus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Work is outside over 50%, variable temperatures.
  • Climbing ladders to heights.
  • Working wearing personal protective equipment 80% of work time.
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
  • Office environment, extended sitting & computer use.
  • Working wearing personal protective as required.
