  • The Next Evolution of Work (NEW) Communications team helps tell the NEW story at TD, managing the full scope of communications planning and delivery for internal and external audiences. Partnering with communications leads across the enterprise, this team is responsible for providing strategic advisory support, deepening colleague understanding of NEW and generating excitement about the limitless potential this transformation will unleash. We're looking for communications professionals with a positive attitude who are driven to produce extraordinary results and thrive in an environment that is fastpaced, high energy, and collaborative. From crafting timely and relevant executive messaging to creating content for engagement campaigns, you'll be empowered to innovate and deliver communications from creative vision to execution. You'll be busy, but never bored, and your real passion for making a difference will reap lasting rewards.

Key accountabilities include:


  • Work closely with NEW AVP, Senior Managers, business partners and senior leaders to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies that support TD's business objectives.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel and support to senior leadership and business partners for transformational change initiatives.
  • Develop, execute and support proactive and reactive communications tactics to support complex initiatives.
  • Write and edit compelling, creative and clear materials relevant to the intended audience, including executive communications, plans, newsletter articles, intranet content, video scripts, internal event support and more.
  • Help drive and sustain change in the field by working with change managers, creating meaningful content to support change initiatives.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of internal communication vehicles.
  • Provide innovative ideas to help improve strategic plans and tactics.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
  • Over 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership
  • Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple communications disciplines, media channels, internal/external audiences, public relations, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and customers supported
  • Strong judgement skills for using sophisticated analytical tools and techniques to identify solutions
  • Strong influential skills to influence and gain alignment across increasingly senior shareholders while exercising discretion in confidential matters
  • An intellectual mind with positive attitude who can deliver projects and initiatives by prioritizing and multitasking in a demanding environment
