Public Information and Records Agent to join our Legal team.
The Big Picture - this position in TSSA
Our

Public Information and Records Agent serves as the prime point of contact for all request for information. As our Public Information and Records Agent, you will work effectively in our team environment to respond to third party requests, in a timely and consistent manner. You will work in collaboration with our facilities management team to exchange information and innovative ideas. We are looking for someone with strong inter-personal skills and a positive, supportive and professional attitude.

What you will do?

  • Preparing, filing and retrieving paper and electronic corporate records;
  • Converting and categorizing paper records to electronic format;
  • Maintaining records in compliance with the retention and destruction schedules;
  • Receiving, investigating and responding to all thirdparty requests for public information, both written and verbal, for request for information which includes:
  • Determining validity of request, and searching all media for relevant records
  • Preparing response to third party/customer consistent with TSSA Access and Privacy Policy, including redactions where required
  • Logging and maintaining copies of releases for future reference

What do you need to succeed?

  • 2 years of related experience or tenure with TSSA considered to be an asset;
  • High School diploma;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional presentation;
  • Customer relations experience;
  • Selfstarter, possesses the ability to plan, organize and prioritize job tasks in order to meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to respond effectively and professionally to changes in schedules and priorities;
  • Ability to ensure consistent attention to detail;
  • Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information;
  • A positive, supportive and professional attitude;
  • Works effectively in team environment exchanging information and innovative ideas;
  • Leadership, Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Communication.
