Description
The Operational Training Manager (OTM) is responsible for the overall improvement of performance within the management team. The OTM will be responsible for developing, implanting and delivering various training programs designed to improve performance.


TASKS AND DUTIES

  • Create, maintain and deliver GardaWorld internal training for Operation and Screening Point Managers.
  • Design testing to determine knowledge and understanding of trainees.
  • Develops a mentorship program to further enhance Managerial abilities.
  • Provides real life scenarios in which Managers can develop hands on experience.
  • Creates continuous learning programs for existing management as well as new management for post initial training.
  • Develops a rapport and creditability with SPM population to increase effectiveness of checkpoint management.
  • In addition to operational content, creates course content including but not limited to items such as Harassment in the Workplace, Conflict Resolution, Leadership Training.
  • Creates training manuals, job aids and other materials to ensure trainees effectively learn the material.
  • Coaches, develops and followsup with management employees during their probationary period.
  • Liaises with all departments to develop continuous learning programs.
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of GardaWorld mission, vision, and values as well as knowledge of CATSA SOPs and expectations.
  • Develops innovative ideas to improve teamwork, leadership and management skills.
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Post Secondary Education an asset.
  • Knowledge of legislation of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Act, Official Languages Act, and Canada Labour Code considered and asset.
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to present and deliver training to large groups of people and Senior Managers.
