Join our team in this dual role as a Vocational Counsellor working at our Solutions Employment Services,
located in beautiful Ladner. This permanent full-time role has a starting wage of $23.10 per hour, plus benefits
including participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.

About the Opportunity
As a full-time Vocational Counsellor, you will be overseeing our LEAP (Leading Employment Achieving
Possibilities) employment program actively supporting individuals with developmental disabilities obtain
employment.


You will be responsible for:

  • Support or lead weekly employment classes to prepare job seekers for employment,
  • Arrange and host info sessions for our LEAP employment program,
  • Developing and structuring relevant and meaningful options based on needs and preferences of the
- client and the needs of the employer,
  • Assisting clients with resume building and distribution,
  • Marketing our services and building relationships with potential employers to support employment,
  • Developing personal networks and social capital by attending community events,
  • Facilitating onthejob coaching,
  • Obtaining knowledge of Community Resources required to facilitate opportunities,
  • Submitting proposals and creative problem solving, and
  • Administrative tasks including maintaining records.
The typical hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This role requires flexibility including early
mornings, evenings, and weekends based on program and client needs.
