Join our team in this dual role as a Vocational Counsellor working at our Solutions Employment Services,
located in beautiful Ladner. This permanent full-time role has a starting wage of $23.10 per hour, plus benefits
including participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.

About the Opportunity
As a full-time Vocational Counsellor, you will be overseeing our LEAP (Leading Employment Achieving
Possibilities) employment program actively supporting individuals with developmental disabilities obtain
employment.

You will be responsible for:

Support or lead weekly employment classes to prepare job seekers for employment,
Arrange and host info sessions for our LEAP employment program,
Developing and structuring relevant and meaningful options based on needs and preferences of the

- client and the needs of the employer,

Assisting clients with resume building and distribution,
Marketing our services and building relationships with potential employers to support employment,
Developing personal networks and social capital by attending community events,
Facilitating onthejob coaching,
Obtaining knowledge of Community Resources required to facilitate opportunities,
Submitting proposals and creative problem solving, and
Administrative tasks including maintaining records.

The typical hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This role requires flexibility including early
mornings, evenings, and weekends based on program and client needs.
