Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Level Buyer to join our team on a temporary basis.

As a Junior Level Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders (POs) in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in the ERP system, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify material and service requirements for various projects.
  • Conduct supplier research, obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms to ensure costeffective procurement while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Monitor and track open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to meet production schedules.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to POs, such as pricing discrepancies, quality concerns, or delivery delays, by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of purchasing activities, including contracts, agreements, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and improve overall procurement efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to aerospace manufacturing to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Prior experience with managing purchase orders and utilizing an ERP system is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Contract Details:


  • This is a temporary position with an openended contract, initially starting at 34 months.
