Description
The Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) Inc. is a new biomanufacturing facility whose construction was completed in June 2021.

The BMC supports the expansion of the country's biologics manufacturing capacity, ensuring that vaccines and other related products can be safely manufactured at home.

BMC is designed to create biopharmaceuticals such as viral vector, protein subunit and virus-like particle vaccines and other biologics.


Reporting to the Director of Technology Transfer and in collaboration with all cross-functional teams, the
Project Manager will support the BMC to achieve the objectives of successful IT related project of infrastructure, equipment qualification and data integrity.

To achieve their objectives, the
Project Manager provides comprehensive project management for BMC's core initiatives, leading programs from initiation to completion.

He/she will ensure alignment and proactive tracking of activities so that all cross-functional deliverables are achieved on schedule, within budget target, and with quality that meets or exceeds business need.


The
Project Manager will be responsible for:


  • Creating project plans, leading development of the projects critical path, decision criteria, and milestones/stage gates, and ensuring all key players understand key milestones and interdependencies.
  • Leading the development and coordination of projects plans ensuring good communication, all needed resources involved and trained, delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Monitoring activities across all team members and line functions involved in the project to ensure achievement of key decision points and milestones according to time, cost, and quality parameters of the endorsed plan. Influencing leadership across functional lines to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
  • Proactively identifying and managing emerging changes and opportunities.
  • Facilitating the identification of operation and project issues and risks and driving resolution through a matrix environment, effectively documenting decisions/rationale.
  • Communicating key performance indicators, progress against milestones, project risks, and mitigation strategies to seniorlevel stakeholders, as required.
  • Acting as primary client contact for any troubleshooting, and collecting information and data as provided by the local team to facilitate effective communication with the clients.

You are the person we are looking for if:

  • You have a diploma in computer science from a technical college or university.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in Project Management. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry (asset).
  • You have proven experience in business performance and project delivery.
  • You have experience with stakeholder management and communicating key messages to seniorlevel stakeholders.
  • You have extensive handson experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent project planning system to create and manage projects
  • You hold a strong track record of performance through effective use of project management methodology, tools, and techniques.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • You have excellent interpersonal communication skills in both French and English to ensure good communication with stakeholders.
  • You have organizational, technical writing and presentation skills.
  • You have strong problemsolving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
