Description
Sinai Health is a leading academic health science centre and a trailblazer for integrated care across the health continuum.

Our fusion of science, innovation, care and learning has earned us international, national and provincial leadership for unique programs and compassionate care.

Since 2015, Sinai Health has delivered excellent care in hospital, community and home.

Comprised of Mount Sinai Hospital, Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute and our system partner Circle of Care, Sinai Health discovers and translates scientific breakthroughs, pushes boundaries for health solutions, and educates future clinical and scientific leaders.

The University of Toronto Surgical Skills Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital provides a laboratory setting where basic and complex surgical and medical procedures can be learned and practiced using a variety of simulation modalities including low to high fidelity simulators, cadaveric tissue, and a variety of porcine, bovine and poultry products.

Surgeons, medical students, residents, nurses, and a variety of healthcare providers will be able to achieve a higher level of expertise more rapidly in a laboratory setting where they can employ educational principles of repeated practice with feedback using examination and assessment tools.

Educational research is conducted in skills acquisition and evaluation in the lab.
