Position Overview:


The Placement Administrator guides international students throughout the placement process, ensuring they understand and meet the requirements of the program and partners.

The Administrator helps students transition from classroom learning environments to real-world work experiences.


Work Schedule:

Hybrid work model, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

This position will be expected to work on campus a minimum of 3 days per week or as required based on business needs.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Guide and support students in fulfilling all nonacademic placement requirements through individual meetings, group webinars, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Placement Coordinator to match eligible students with appropriate placements, including longterm care facilities and retirement homes.
  • Be the primary point of contact for students before and during their placement, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a successful and positive experience.

  • Support students encountering difficulties during their placements and mediate conflicts when needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all placement stakeholders, including Academic staff, faculty, and placement providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for placements, including requirements, evaluations, progress reports, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Receive feedback from students, external stakeholders, and faculty to continuously improve the placement process and programs.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on placementrelated data to measure program satisfaction and effectiveness.
  • Assist in creating supportive materials and resources for students.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, including higher education, international education, career counseling, and education administration.
  • Experience working with student placements or coop procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to mediate, deescalate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
  • Capable of performing effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to exhibit ethics, accountability, integrity, and respect for others.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of immigration regulations related to international students is a plus.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
