Job Description:

Working within a multi-task team environment performing and/or assisting in maintenance routines on building equipment and systems deficiencies. These positions demand flexibility and a positive, cooperative work attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with preventative maintenance routines on building equipment and systems
Cleaning mechanical, electrical and bell riser rooms
Perform standard inspections and minor repairs
Respond to Tenant calls regarding lighting and plumbing issues
Some after hours or shift work may be required
Heavy lifting may be required
Work in areas where hearing protection may be required
Ability to work from ladders
Miscellaneous painting as required
Other duties as assigned as tasks may vary depending on the assigned property
Embody and support Brookfield Properties' Safety, Health and Environment Policy.
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.
Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.
Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviours are unsafe.
Immediately report SH&E incidents, nearmisses, unsafe conditions, and/or atrisk behaviours to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.
Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.

QUALIFICATIONS
SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS

EXPERIENCE & TECHINCAL SKILLS

General building operations and prior maintenance experience an asset

EDUCATION/DESIGNATION/LICENSES

Minimum Grade 12 education
Enrollment in Building Systems Engineering Technology certification program
