- Provides specialized full cycle recruitment services within a designated business portfolio, leveraging recruitment tools including community and digital outreach to proactively build talent pipelines.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects and programs.
Develops a recruitment plan and creates a customized sourcing strategy, in consultation with the hiring manager. Advises and guides the hiring team on different recruitment steps to ensure compliance with best practices and legal requirements for a robust hiring process. Conducts pre-employment assessments and maintains competition files with required documents.
Participates in job selection grievances and keeps the Manager, Talent Acquisition informed of any unresolved issues.
OTHER REQUIRTEMENTS
- Advanced knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, methods, and techniques, with emphasis on recruitment.
- Solid analytical skills to review and assess applicants, and to conduct trend analysis and produce statistics.
- Sound problem-solving skills along with sound judgment to assess and resolve/escalate issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Solid time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team or individually with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to display tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and confidentiality.
- Possess a strong ethic to ensure consistency, equality, and objectivity in the recruitment process.
- Designation as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is an asset.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will support our Translink hiring team, responsible for meeting the hiring demands of TransLink and its operating companies. The role offers flexibility with a Hybrid work model, including the expectation of conducting in-person interviews when required in different locations.
An applicant will demonstrate their suitability for the position by meeting the minimum qualifications and experience to be invited to the selection process. Standard interview format including general, scenario, and behavioral descriptive interview questions.
