Your future duties and responsibilities:
Called upon to play the role of an advisor within a close-knit team in direct contact with informed clients, you will be responsible for the following:
In addition to performing monthly balancing for out-of-balance companies, the advisor will be responsible for all operational activities related to producing tax slips for Desjardins clients. During the balancing period, the candidate will need to:
Monthly identification of out-of-balance companies across all sectors
Communicate with clients and make necessary corrections
Monitor cumulative balances and ensure there are no recurring issues from month to month
Correct and track negative cases
Establish and maintain up-to-date statistics
Actively participate in operational tasks related to completed companies
During the year-end period, the advisor will also be responsible for the following tasks:
Monitor activities under their responsibility related to year-end
Coordinate and provide necessary follow-up on various team tasks while providing progress updates
Validate pre-production of tax slips
Identify, resolve, and document issues or anomalies
Distribute, validate, and track control reports
Be responsible for reproducing tax slips
Correct and input specific cases (e.g., eligible gains)
Ensure follow-up for file production with government authorities
Actively participate in sector meetings and working committees
Provide technical support to year-end team members
Perform quality control between the current environment and 'T4'
Contribute to establishing processes for balancing or year-end, implement them, and, if necessary, ensure effective communication
Participate in any relevant year-end mandates."
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
-College diploma in administration, accounting, or a related field, or any other combination of relevant education and experience:
-Minimum of 3 years of experience related to payroll
-Strong customer service skills
-Excellent problem-solving abilities
-Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines
-Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in French and English (an asset)
-Proficiency in a payroll application (such as Suite Internet Nethris or Employeur D)
-Proficiency in the Opéra application
-Mastery of Microsoft Office suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet navigation
ADVANTAGES:
-Completion of the 'Understanding Payroll Principles' and 'Mastering Payroll Legislation' courses at Collège Ahuntsic, or certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)."
