Reporting to the Technical Services Operations Manager, the Technical Services Project Coordinator position will be in the Halifax Area and will work on projects across the Country with no travel required.
This position will work closely with Project Leads and will be responsible for coordination of all production requirements including but not limited to safety, quality, administration, scheduling, cost controls, client/sub-contractor/technicians communication and management.
This position is based in Halifax, NS.
What You Will Be Working On- Work with the business to develop business case and feasibility studies for project intake.- Assist with major construction projects, including liaison with Owners, Consulting Engineers and Subcontractors.- Support with the preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.- Review and process shop drawings.- Coordination of material and equipment needs.- Prepare weekly productivity and cost tracking.- Prepare cost estimates for change orders and audit purposes.- Price site instructions, work orders and change notices.- Assist with quality assurance and management of client expectations. Provide document turnover to client at completion of project.- Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports.- Participate in on-site safety meetings and be a leader of initiatives.- Provide safety leadership through implementation of the Bird Safety Program and monitoring the safety performance of the project team and subcontractors.- Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.- Build and manage business relationships.
