Receptionist - North York, Canada - People Corporation
Description
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our BPA team in North York.
Responsible for providing effective customer service related to Member Benefit Plan Trust Funds as specified by the collective bargaining agreements and the direction of the Board of Trustees.
The Receptionist will:
- Direct all incoming calls to the correct staff member in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with any "walk in" members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer members' general inquiries and promptly direct to appropriate contacts for additional information.
- Processes member enrollment cards and updates members personal policy information.
- Receives daily mail and distribute to appropriate staff members.
- Support members with making benefit payments.
- Produce letters requested by members confirming benefit status, eligibility, and dependent information.
- Review employer contribution reports and member selfpayments by entering remittance details into Benefit Plan Administration System (BPAS) and
- Prepare ad hoc reporting on request.
- Report directly to Office Manager.
- Work cooperatively as a member of the I.U.P.A.T. Trust Fund Administration team.
- Deal directly with participating employers, benefit plan members and their dependents, and Union Representatives.
- Work cooperatively with Accounting Department at our Head Office location.

- Good mathematical ability and knowledge of accounting principles.
