About the role:

We are looking to hire an Inside Parts Sales Specialist at our Kitchener location.


Shift:
Monday to Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:


  • Over the counter coverage, both walkin and phone, in a professional and timely manner for both truck and trailer parts
  • Provide quotes and pricing to customers
  • Process parts orders, purchase orders and sales in the system
  • Source parts from vendors for nonstock and out of stock, to fill orders
  • Process and follow up on purchase orders to maintain billing and aging targets
  • Escalate any customer, inventory, delivery issues to direct report to expedite resolution
  • Assist in reporting/transfers for replenishment of other branches
  • Assist the team with cycle counts and review required adjustments with team
  • Identify fast moving and critical truck parts to assist with growing inventory
  • Support for shop work orders and quoting adding parts to correct tasks, resolving inventory issues, etc.
  • Picking parts from inventory to fill orders for customers and branch replenishment
  • Transfer parts to branches as required
  • Ensure paperwork is detailed, accurate and timely
  • Attend meetings and training after hours as necessary
  • Working shift work including weekends as necessary
  • Other related tasks/duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent with parts training
  • Minimum 5 years experience with commercial truck and trailer parts
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Safety conscious at all times
