We are flexible on hiring salary rates, these are based on experience of the applicant. Schedule will be negotiated during the interviewing process.

Reefer Technician Position
As a Reefer Technicianyou'll work out of our shop, and on-site at various customer locations throughout Winnipeg. You'll be responsible for the duties outlined below.
- Repair of diesel reefers, heater units and generators.
- Repair of electric reefer units.
- Accurate recording of temperatures and fuel levels of all reefer and heater units at customer sites.
- Mounting/Dismounting of clipon and undercount generators on containers and chassis using a forklift.
- Inspection of reefer power cables prior to use.
- Photo / Video recording of temperatures of units.
- Refueling of intermodal equipment.
- Topping up fluids on generators and other intermodal equipment.
- Communication with managers, supervisors, and admin personnel regarding business practices, daily operations, fleet, coworker, and customer needs.
- Remain focused at all times.
- Remain positive and motivating to all.
- Work in a team environment. Support your coworkers, managers, and leaders. You will be treated with dignity and respect.
- Cross training junior technicians.
- Provide managers with feedback on coworkers' / junior technicians' performance. Create suggestions for enhanced work ethic and positive culture.
- Other tasks as required.
Requirements:
Must have a safety-oriented work ethic.
Must be punctual and reliable.
Must pay excellent attention to detail.
Must have a valid Class 5 drivers' license.
Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
Must be 18 or older. (Unable to obtain Erailsafe if under 18)
Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. This is an outdoor working position (rain, direct sunlight, snow etc.)
Must have basic computer skills.

Qualifications and Skills
Additional skills and qualifications we are seeking include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced mechanical ability and experience
- Troubleshooting skills paired with critical thinking and time management
- Selfmotivated, and ability to work unsupervised
Medical Requirements
Operating safely is JER's core foundation. We are also committed to a healthy workplace which is supported by our Alcohol and Drug Policy and Procedures.
All new hires will be required to complete a pre-employment medical that entails physical, vision, hearing, alcohol and drug audit assessment.
